Rekonstruksi Subak Lestari Desa Anggabaya Sebagai Warisan Budaya Dunia dalam Mewujudkan Pencapaian Ketahanan Pangan

Subak is a community organization that specifically regulates the rice field irrigation system used in
rice cultivation in Bali. Subak has its own regulated, democratic associations of farmers in determining
the use of irrigation water for growing rice. This study aims to analyze how the reconstruction of Subak
Lestari Angabaya Village as a world cultural heritage in realizing the achievement of food security.
considering that Subak for the Balinese people is not just an irrigation system, but also a concept of
life for the Balinese people themselves. In the view of the Balinese people, Subak is a direct
illustration of the Tri Hita Karana philosophy. As a method of organizing living together, Subak has
been able to survive for more than a century because its people adhere to ancestral traditions. The
distribution of water is carried out fairly and evenly, all problems are discussed and solved together,
even the timing of planting and the type of rice to be planted are determined together. Harmonization
of life like this is the main key to the preservation of Subak culture on the island of the gods. The
research methodology was carried out using descriptive qualitative, through observation, interviews
and documentation. Considering that subak is a way of achieving food security for the community.
Although agricultural land such as rice fields, fields, orchards have been transformed into concrete
buildings. It is this reconstruction that needs to be developed. This research was conducted as an
inventory of regional regulations, regional regulations, and legal basis including awig-awig in
strengthening subak as a control in increasing quality agricultural products.
